Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (Felemenkçe telaffuz: [ˈrɛmbrɑnt ˈɦɑrmə(n)soːn vɑn ˈrɛin]  ( dinle); d. 15 Temmuz 1606 - ö. 4 Ekim 1669), Hollandalı ressam ve baskı ustası. "Işığın ve gölgelerin ressamı" olarak da anılır.

Geertje Dircx (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣeːrtɕə ˈdɪr(ə)ks]; c. 1610–1615 – c. 1656) was the lover of Rembrandt van Rijn after the death of his wife Saskia. She was hired as a nurse to the painter's son Titus, but lived with Rembrandt as his lover for several years. The relationship broke up acrimoniously, leading to a lengthy court-case for "breach of promise" (a euphemism for seduction under [breached] promise to marry), in which she claimed maintenance from Rembrandt. On Rembrandt's initiative, she was eventually imprisoned in a workhouse on charges of having descended into a life of loose morals. After her release she made attempts to sue Rembrandt for wrongful imprisonment.

She may be the model for a number of Rembrandt's works, but there is disagreement about which images depict her.

Hendrickje Stoffels, aussi connue sous le nom de Hendrickje Jegers (1626 – 21 juillet 1663) est une gouvernante et marchande d'art. Elle a partagé une partie de la vie du peintre Rembrandt avec qui elle a vécu jusqu'à sa propre mort et avec lequel elle a eu une fille, Cornelia. Elle est la troisième et dernière compagne de l'artiste après la mort de son épouse, Saskia van Uylenburgh (1612-1642) et le départ de sa précédente gouvernante et compagne Geertje Dircx (1610-1656).

Elle a été le modèle de plusieurs tableaux majeurs du peintre.
